The PedalSnake

One  of the Best
New Products I've Seen

The PedalSnake is not an effect but it sure is a great way to connect effects to your amplifier.  It's also a great way to get DC power to your pedalboard and with some of the options they offer you can do much more.

Audio snakes have been used for decades to control microphone cables and simplify setup for live audio.  At the heart of it all a snake is just a way to bundle a number of cables together neatly and reduce clutter.  We use one in our conference-room at work and it makes a big difference in being able to avoid that can o' worms look between the microphones and the PA.

PedalSnakes accomplish the same thing for your guitar and pedalboard.  What really sells me on the concept is the fact that you can bring DC power to the board and have the AC power adapter plugged in next to your amp's power source.  This in itself reduces clutter underfoot and makes the setup much less of an eyesore.  Depending upon your needs there are any number of options available including a way to bring your effects loop up to your pedalboard.  You can even run a TRS line to hook up your amp's reverb/tremolo control pedal at your pedalboard.

The design of most PedalSnakes is modular using DIN style connectors and a choice of ends to accommodate your various gear.  Various P-line (power line) and G-line (guitar line) ends can be fitted.  There are also options for midi connectors if that suits your needs.  Based upon what I could see it would be hard to spend more than $150 on a PedalSnake and simple setups could cost considerably less.  The quality is high and the concept is great.
